Nike Winflo Vs. Nike Pegasus – A head to head comparison

In the above sections we have covered the major differences between Nike Winflo and Nike Pegasus.

In the below section, we will go into a little more depth. So, without further ado, let’s start.

Outsole

Nike Pegasus and Nike Winflo uses almost the same outsole. They have pieces of blown rubber pasted on the outer surface of the midsole to form the outsole.

However, although apparently you will not see much of a difference between these two outsoles…on closer observation you will find that the patterns present on the two running shoes are completely different.

Also, since the outsole has pieces of rubber, there are some deep grooves throughout the outsole of both the shoes. This provides flexibility to these shoes and you don’t feel restricted in your movements.

The only other difference that I found in these two outsoles is the color of the outsoles. The color of the outsole for Nike Winflo many times matches the upper whereas for Nike Pegasus it is always black in color.

Also, a portion of Nike Pegasus’s outsole has lug-like formation. This makes it very stable and you will enjoy a wobble-free ride.

Midsole

Both Nike Winflo and Nike Pegasus have the Air Zoom Unit as the midsole. It is lightweight and responsive and will provide you with great comfort while running.

However, the amount of cushioning is more in Nike Pegasus and this is very much apparent when you wear the shoes.

This adds to the bulk of the shoe but not so much that you will feel uncomfortable.

Overall both of these running shoes are great and their midsole also reacts very similarly. So, it will be ultimately your preference as I’ve mentioned above.

Upper

Upper of both Nike Pegasus and Nike Winflo has a layer of mesh and bootie construction.

However, the upper of Nike Pegasus has a much more intricate texture and that gives it a more polished look.

Also, the amount of padding in the collar and tongue is more for Pegasus than Winflo. So, your ankle may feel more stable in Pegasus.

Another difference between Pegasus with Winflo is that the integrated pull tab of Winflo seems to have more length and thus makes it more convenient.

Also, both of the uppers are very breathable and you will not feel suffocated in them.

Weight

Weightwise there is not much difference between Nike Winflo and Nike Pegasus.

Nike Winflo weighs around 10 oz whereas Nike Pegasus weighs around 10.2 oz. And this minor difference in weight, I’ll attribute to the additional cushioning of Nike Pegasus.

Price

Pricewise, Nike Winflo is a bit less pricey than Nike Pegasus.

If you go for Nike Winflo you will have to pay around $10 buck less than Nike Pegasus. However, this is not a huge amount and if you can go for the one which will provide you with max comfort.

In the above sections we have covered all the similarities and differences that we know of for Nike Winflo and Nike Pegasus.

However, you may be keen of checking out some alternatives to both of these running shoes. Below we have provided you with the best options.
