Mizuno and Nike are very popular brands and comparing their sizes will be interesting.

When doing so, I found that the difference in the numbers representing the sizes of these two brands is not as severe as in Salomon Vs Nike.

However, a difference is there, but comparing a more universal length like the cm or the inches will make it easier for you to compare.

So, let’s check what are the differences between the sizes of Mizuno and Nike and how do Mizuno shoes fit compared to Nike…

Let’s get started…

How Do Mizuno Shoes Fit Compared To Nike

How Do Mizuno Shoes Fit Compared To Nike?

The fit of Mizuno shoes is as comfortable as Nike. It has good toe-box space like Nike and the overall width of the shoe is also not restrictive, much like Nike.

The fit of the heel counter is also gripping like Nike and it will not allow the shoes to have heel slips. This is good if you have blister-prone feet or have other issues like heel bursitis, etc.

If you have wide feet then both Mizuno and Nike will be able to support you. However, if you have extra-wide feet, then there are only a couple of models in Nike like Nike Revolution, that will be able to support you. Mizuno doesn’t have an extra wide fit.

However, I felt, that the Mizuno wide is as comfortable as the Nike’s wide.

Also, the number of sizes available from Nike is a lot more than Mizuno’s for both the men’s and the women’s versions and for both bigger and smaller sizes.

This is definitely an advantage if you have a big foot size above 30cm and above in women and 35cm and above in men.

Mizuno Vs Nike Sizing: Differences

1. For Mizuno women’s size starts from 20.5cm(8.07 in)/4(US)/1.5(UK)/33(EU). For Nike women’s size starts from 21cm (8.27 in)/4(US)/1.5(UK)/34.5(EU).

2. For Mizuno men’s size starts from 23cm (9.05 in)/5(US)/4(UK)/36.5(EU). For Nike men’s size starts from 22.5cm (8.86 in)/3.5(US)/3(UK)/35.5(EU).

3. Some of the sizes of Nike are represented by two size numbers. One such example is the size 23.5cm is represented by 4.5/5(US)/4/4.5(UK)/36.5/37.5(EU). However, Mizuno sizes are not represented like this.

4. In Mizuno, some of the sizes are not available only in the EU region. For example, the size 32.5cm(12.80 in) for the men’s size is not present in the EU but is present in US and UK. Such a thing is not present in Nike.

5. For women’s shoes Mizuno has more sizes than Nike for smaller pairs.

6. For women’s shoes Nike has more sizes than Mizuno for larger pairs.

6. For men’s shoes, Nike has an additional smaller size than Mizuno. For the larger pairs also Nike has many more sizes available than Mizuno.

7. The numbers representing the same lengths of the shoes in the women’s version are 0.5 steps higher in Mizuno than Nike for all the regions, up to 22cm (8.66 in). After that, this difference is only present in the US and the UK regions.

Do Mizuno Run Bigger Or Smaller Than Nike?

No, Mizuno sizes are not bigger than Nike. However, the size numbers that the universal lengths of the cm are represented by these two brands are somewhat different.

Also, many will make the mistake of thinking Mizunos are bigger than Nike because many of the size numbers that Mizuno have is 0.5 steps greater than Nike. However, both of these numbers are representing the same cm/inch length.

Sometimes this difference is just region-specific, especially in the EU region. Also, as mentioned above, some of the numbers that these two brands use for representing the length are the same for some sizes.

Actually, if you go and try to map the size numbers of these two brands, then it will be very confusing. Instead, try to check the cm/inch length of the shoes from both the brands as this is a more accurate representation and more universal.
