This is a dual-density material in the midfoot that reduces overpronation. The midsole of Asics Gel-Cumulus also has FlyteFoam cushioning which makes it responsive. Asics Gel Cumulus also has gel cushioning that is excellent with shock absorption. The drop of Cumulus is a bit more than GT 1000. Cumulus has a drop of 10mm whereas GT 1000 has a drop of 8mm. There is a difference in their stack height as well. The heel stack of Gel Cumulus is around 34mm whereas the forefoot stack is around 24 mm. The heel stack of GT 1000 is around 33 mm whereas the forefoot drop is around 25mm.

The upper of Asics GT 1000 is made from engineered mesh. This is a lightweight mesh that will provide you with a flexible and breathable upper.

It will wrap snugly around your feet and will provide you with a comfortable fit. It will also provide you with a plush step-in feel and being seamless will not cause irritation to your skin.

This version of Asics GT 1000 also has an Integrated Support System. This adds extra support to the upper. This helps you to center your foot.
