Mizunos are excellent running shoes. they provide good cushioning, support, and overall comfort.

But are Mizuno shoes good for wide feet?

Well, that depends from model to model as not all the models from Mizuno come in wide fit.

Now which models from Mizuno come in a wide fit and is the wide fit available for all the sizes?

We have covered all these in-depth in the below sections…

Read on to find out…

Are Mizuno Shoes Good For Wide Feet

Why Do Hokas Hurt Your Feet?

Hokas hurt feet if the size of the shoes is not right, unmatching arch height, the width of the shoe does not match feet width, the collar padding is not sufficient, the padding of the tongue is not enough for the user, and/or the type of the shoe doesn’t match the activity.

These are some of the reasons why you feel pain while wearing Hoka shoes. Apart from them, there are some other general reasons why running shoes make your feet hurt. These reasons are applicable for Hoka shoes as well.

We will cover these reasons along with specific models so that you can check if you need to change something that you are doing or if you need to replace the shoe altogether.

However, if you have extra wide feet, Mizuno Wave Horizon will not be able to support you as it is available only in wide fit and not in extra wide fit.

It is true to size and the wide fit is represented with 2E for the men’s version and D in the women’s version.

Mizuno Wave Rebellion

Mizuno Wave Rebellion

Are Mizuno Wave Rebellion shoes good for wide feet?

No, Mizuno Wave Rebellion shoes are not good for wide feet as they are not made for wide feet. This is true for both the men’s and the women’s versions.

Mizuno Wave Rebellion is one of the few shoes from Mizuno which doesn’t come in a wide fit. This is true regardless of the version.

However, it is the first generation of Mizuno Wave Rebellion and Mizuno is testing the market with this. The response for this shoe is good.

So, it is to be seen whether Mizuno launches the wide fit in the next iteration. Also, since Mizuno doesn’t have an extra wide fit for most of its shoes, even if it launches (which we do not have news on) the wide fit, it may not bring the extra wide fit to the market.

If it launches a wide fit for Mizuno Wave Rebellion, it is to be seen, whether it is for all the available Mizuno sizes for both versions or only for some selected sizes.

Mizuno Wave Inspire is one of the most popular running shoes in the market and from Mizuno brand itself in the overpronation category.

It provides you with a good fit for even the normal fit. However, it also has a wide fit for both the women’s and the men’s versions.

The wide fit is available for all the available sizes which are 7-16 for the men’s version and 6-12 in the women’s version. Also, observe that Mizuno Wave Inspire has one extra size available in the men’s version unlike the other models from Mizuno.

Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 WAVEKNIT

Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 Waveknit

Are Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 WAVEKNIT good for wide feet?

No, Mizuno Wave Inspire WAVEKNIT is not good for wide feet and it is not available in a wide fit. This is different from the other version which is Mizuno Wave Inspire.

Mizuno Wave Inspire WAVEKNIT is not available in a wide fit for either the men’s or the women’s version of the shoe. This is very different from the original one which is Mizuno Wave Inspire.

However, this is understandable as the demand for Mizuno Wave Inspire WAVEKNIT is lesser than for Mizuno Wave Inspire. Also, the price of Inspire WAVEKNIT is slightly higher which may also be the reason for its lesser demand.

Also, we don’t think that Mizuno will launch a wide fit for Mizuno Wave Inspire WAVEKNIT anytime soon. The current version of Mizuno Inspire Waveknit is 18. If Mizuno wanted to launch a wide fit for this shoe, it would already have.

So, if you are looking for a wide fit and have stability issues, then you should go for Mizuno Wave Inspire.

Yes, Mizuno Wave Rider is good for wide feet as it is available in wide feet for both men’s and women’s versions of the shoes. However, Mizuno Wave Rider is not available in an extra-wide fit for either of the versions.

Mizuno Wave Rider is one of the best running shoes in the neutral category. It has a comfortable fit and will allow you to run without any hot zones in the shoes.

However, if you have wider feet then the normal fit from Mizuno will not suffice. So, Mizuno has come up with a wide fit which is perfect for runners with a wider fit requirement.

The wide fit for this shoe is available for both the versions of the shoes and for all the available sizes of 7-16 for the men’s version and 6-12 for the women’s version. Like Inspire, Wave Rider also has an extra size available for the men’s version.

The wide fit of Mizuno Wave Rider is represented with a D for the women’s version and with a 2E in the men’s version.

Like the other models from Mizuno, Wave Rider also doesn’t have an extra wide fit available. So, if you need an extra-wide running shoe, then Mizuno may not be the correct brand for you.

Mizuno Wave Creation 20

Mizuno Wave Creation 20

Are Mizuno Wave Creation 20 good for wide feet?

No Mizuno Wave Creation is not good for wide feet as it is not available in a wide fit for both versions of the shoes.

Mizuno Wave Creation is probably one of the few shoes in the market that has a huge drop. It has a 15mm drop which is the highest I’ve seen in any running shoe.

However, Mizuno Wave Creation is not available in a wide fit for any of its versions.

Since this is the 20th generation of Wave Creation, I don’t think there will be any wide fit that will be available to the users.

Also, this version shoe has not received any version upgrade for a long time. So, I think it will be Mizuno will eventually take this model off the market.

So, for now when you have this model available you can enjoy it but only if you don’t have a wide fit.

Yes, Mizuno shoes have a wide toe box available for most of the models. However, it also has normal toe box width available for all the shoes.

So, does Mizuno make wide shoes?

The answer is yes, but that is not the only thing that they make.
